Mutant Boards is a duo, two young adults just trying to make their way combining what they both know and love together to create a skateboard brand. Mutant Boards originated in Louisiana out of a small town named Destrehan. With Mutant Boards we hope to bring you affordable and high-quality boards for everyone.
In Destrehan, the only type of entertainment, is going outside and either getting into fights or getting in trouble with the law, and that was never any fun. We could never find anyone who has felt the same way as we do towards life so, we created this skate brand as something to bring everyone together with, despite their differences, and what better way to do it, than with skating, this brand is made for anyone and everyone. For us at Mutant Boards, skating is a way of life, not just a hobbie.
In the hierarchy of needs, the last three needs are: love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. All of these can be achieved through skating. Skating can be seen as a coping mechinism, a way to push yourself to the fullest, and build yourself from the ground up, this is why we strongly believe EVERYONE should atleast try skateboarding.
The RIP line is a board line made by you! You might be asking, what does that mean? This means that you can send us a picture of a loved one who has passed away, and we will put it on a board for you and design it how you want. This is a way to keep their memory alive, and to show that they are always with you, even when they are not physically here. We made this line because we our selves have lost one of our loved ones, and we know how hard it is to lose someone you love. This line is meant to keep their memory alive.
Jude was one of our greatest friends, no matter what day it was you would see a smile on his face. Now he wasnt the happiest but who is? He enjoyed the bass guitar, skateboarding, and being with his best friends. He would make sure all of his friends were good before he was good. He really tried to make us feel welcome. He was the definition of "Ride or Die". He tried to make the best out of bad situations. Not only was he an amazing friend, but he is the one person I wish everyone got to meet in their life. He made us laugh in bad situations but it was all worth it, he was our dearest friend and that is why we decided to make a board line around him.
